Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the OR & US Society mobile application and any associated services. By creating an account or taking out a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Membership

Membership is a paid subscription, available in three tiers. It is purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system and begins as soon as the purchase is confirmed; there is no application or approval step. Each tier unlocks a different level of access within the Society. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed or cancelled at any time in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its standard policy. We may suspend or end a membership if these terms are violated.

Acceptable Use

Members agree to engage with the platform and with fellow members in good faith and with discretion. You may not share, screenshot, or republish any member exclusive content, conversations, or introductions without the explicit consent of all parties involved. Commercial solicitation of other members without prior consent is prohibited.

Rooms & Events

Submitting an event request sends the details you provide to our events team. A received request is not a booking and membership does not guarantee an event place or guest admission. Attendance is confirmed separately by the Society; check My Events for the current status and team message. Event invitations are not transferable. Attendance at curated rooms is subject to capacity and eligibility criteria set by the Society. We reserve the right to adjust, cancel, or relocate events. Refunds for paid events, where applicable, are governed by the specific event terms communicated at the time of booking.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, photography, and design elements within the OR & US application are the exclusive property of Orphea Society and may not be reproduced without written permission. Everything shown in the app, including member profiles, circle descriptions, events and lounge posts, is editorial content authored and published by us. There is no path for a member to create, upload or publish content, so no member content licence arises.

Limitation of Liability

The OR & US application is provided 'as is'. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orphea Society is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, attendance at events, or introductions facilitated through the Society.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Dubai International Financial Centre, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, you may request account deletion at any time.
